Browser Requirements
All users of Netscape 6.0 It has been reported that users of Netscape 6.0 are experiencing display issues when viewing belco@net in frames mode. The navigation and banner frames display but the main portion of the screen is blank. Belco and Netscape are currently researching the issue. It has been determined that belco@net displays properly in non-frames mode under Netscape 6.0. Until the issue is resolved we advise Netscape 6.0 users to access our belco@net site via the non-frames button located on our login page.
All users of Microsoft Internet Explorer for Macintosh version 4.5 and earlier All users of Netscape Navigator versions 4.05 and earlier These programs include a security component, which is set to expire at the end of 1999. If you are using such a browser, you may receive warning messages when connecting to certain secured web sites after December 31, 1999. These messages may indicate that your connection cannot be verified, because your security component has expired. Therefore, Belco Community Credit Union recommends that these users upgrade their browser prior to December 31, 1999 in order to avoid such warning messages. Browser Requirements belco@net has been developed to function best with Netscape version 3.0 and above. You may obtain Netscape from the links on this page. We have experienced stack overflow problems with Microsoft's Internet Explorer version 3.0 and are in the process of testing belco@net with MSIE version 4.0.

Note you must download either the Standard or Professional version and select the "strong U.S./Canada-only encryption if available" option.

For download and installation instructions please contact Netscape or Microsoft's tech support or the tech support for your Internet Service Provider (ISP). To make sure the 128-bit encryption is enabled under Netscape Navigator 3.0, select "Options," "Security Preferences," "General" from the Navigator menu and make sure "Enable SSL v2" is checked. Also click the "Configure" button. The "Configure Ciphers" window will appear. The first item ("RC4 encryption with a 128-bit key") should be checked. Click on "OK" when all options are set. If you have problems connecting to secured sites, your Internet service provider (ISP) or your employer may not support the SSL protocol. Contact your ISP or your network administrator to determine if they support SSL protocol.
